Hi there, friends; It’s Lydia Cost today, and I’m walking through a little mini album I created using the ever so beautiful Farmhouse Christmas collection. The gorgeous Carta Bella papers really did make my paper loving heart swoon. They are full of snowflakes, wreaths, and pretty farmhouse illustrations. I couldn’t wait to use those gorgeous papers inside a mini album.
For this album I decided to remake an album shape that I had recently experimented with. This great tri-fold 4×5 album is perfect for so many reasons. I love the way you can customize the closure. You can use vintage buttons to close the cover, or you can punch holes for a gorgeous piece of ribbon to tie, like I did here.
I chose to cover my base with the amazing wooden patterned paper and those gorgeous poinsettias for my lid. This paired perfectly with the glittery red ribbon I secured my cover and lid with. I love that these patterned papers pair up so perfectly together, and I’m so smitten with the final result!
For the inside I chose 5 single signatures of pages, for a total of 20 workable album pages. This will be the perfect set-up for my December documenting. I stitched them into the bottom of my album, before adhered my internal patterned paper down. It made the album seamless and pretty inside. Another great option is to create an accordion album inside.
To finish preparing my album, I die-cut some great snowflakes from the new collections. They looked perfect on that white subway tile patterned paper. I weeded them out, and then they looked so perfect up against that gorgeous red paper. I added in a few element stickers, and my cover page was finished.
Now all that is left is to fill in the album pages this year. I’m so excited for it to get chunky and wonderful. That’s my favorite thing about Christmas albums. They are always so comforting and warm to flip through in Christmases to come.
